What Is an SGW Bypass?

Beginning in mid-2018 production, Alfa Romeo added a Security Gateway Module (SGW) that restricts direct OBD programming access.

An SGW bypass simply allows secure communication between your tuning device and the vehicle’s control modules. It does not remove factory safety features.
