The Diverter valve is responsible for venting excess pressure created by the turbo into the intake tract to prevent damage to the compressor. Failure of the factory Diverter Valve will result in Compressor damage and / or failure. This unit is directly bolted to the charge piping utilizing (3) 5mm Allen bolts. Replacement is straight forward and is a cure to P0299, P0039, P00C0-00 codes and other various boost/ solenoid related CELs.
